Motorcycle: Yamaha XV950 “Dragger”
Customizer: WalzWerk Racing
Rider: Mai-Lin Senf/Christoph Werner
Intermot, the international motorcycle trade fair that welcomes over 1,000 companies and 200,000 bike fans every two years in October, will be participating at Essenza with its very own team and a bike built especially for the sprint races this year. None other than Marcus Walz, Head of WalzWerk Racing, is handling the conversion of this truly unique Yamaha XV950. The customizing involves a total upgrade of the running gear with high performance chassis components, a redesign of the fuel tank, rear and bench seat area, a special exhaust system as well as numerous custom milled and turned parts. The V-Twin-Yamaha isn’t easily classified, but it fits best into the “Drag-Style” category.
Even two riders will start for the Intermot sprint team. Stunt girl Mai-Lin Senf will twist the throttle at Cafe Racer Festival in Linas-Montlhéry at 10 and 11 June. Later in September, Christoph Werner, chairman of the management of Koelnmesse, starts at Glemseck101.
